Omeprazole is prescribed to tackle common ailments such as heartburn, indigestion and acid reflux, but extended or regular use of the drug can lead to a range of complications. According to one gut health expert, some of these problems can appear on your skin.
Dr Sari Arponen, a specialist in gut microbiota, warned that omeprazole and other commonly-prescribed medications could be behind certain skin conditions.
